Stitch a banner inspired by the "On the March" exhibition, The Secret Stitch
Tomorrow I will be running a textile workshop at The People’s History Musuem in Manchester from 11am-4pm. http://www.phm.org.uk/whatson/stitch-a-mini-protest-banner-2/
Participants will be shown how to cross stitch messages of protest inspired by the current banner exhibition by Ed Hall named “On the March.”
I have created some “Secret Stitch Kits” which includes:
- 14 count Aida fabric
- Recycled vintage fabric
- A button
- A “Bobbin” of thread
- A needle
I will also be running a workshop next weekend for The Manchester Weekender in which you can purchase for £10, coffee (or tea), a slice of cake and a craft pack from the Musuem and also join in with a “mass stitch in” led by myself.
I hope to see you there!
The Pharmacy of Stories
The Pharmacy is a little space of little stories and curiosities.
I exhibited my poetry, fanzine and embroideries here.
